Printed Matted Piece
thisCritique Describe: This is a photograph of Savannah’s face from the nose up. The photo is taken close up and includes the beanie she is wearing. All of the photo is black and white except her blue eyes. Most of the subject matter is in the bottom two thirds of the picture and the top is black because it was taken in the dark room. The way I edited this photo was I used the eyedrop tool to get the color of her eyes then I made the photo black and white. Then I took the paint brush tool, colored her eyes , then adjusted the opacity so it looked natural. This picture was printed on glossy paper.
Analyze: In the photo the color creates emphasis because it makes you look twice and you focus back on the eyes with the vibrant color against the rest of the image. This connection is happening
